Easter Egg Hunt at the West Orange Presbyterian Center

On Saturday, April 7 at 1 p.m. there will be an Easter Egg Hunt and Puppet Show hosted by the and . We are located at 20 Old Indian Road in West Orange. 

The puppet show is entitled "Joshua's Resurrection" and is about a boy who is losing his faith, but learns the true meaning of the Easter Resurrection.  All are welcome! Also at UPC this week... Thursday, April 5 is Maundy Thursday and there will be a Tenebrae Service at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 6 is Good Friday and worship service is at 7:30 p.m. On Easter Sunday we have two services. Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. and Worship at 10:30 a.m.

Pleasantdale Presbyterian Church

looks forward to Holy Week. This Sunday, we will celebrate Palm Sunday with an 11 a.m. worship service. The Reverend Todd Shumpert will preach. Communion will be served. Flutist Rich Reiter will play. Music is under the direction of Fran Testa. There is a Children’s Message and Sunday School during the worship service, led by Nicole Shumpert.   

On Sunday evening, the Church will hold a Jazz Vespers service at 7:30 p.m.  The music will be led by Dave Rimelis and it will feature Al McCormick on flute, Dave Longworth on drums, Ted Brancato on keyboard ... and Chris Kerwin on alto sax!  The service will also include special readings, poetry, prayers and communion.The service honors the diversity of the West Orange community and the contribution of the creative arts to the life of the community. It celebrates inclusivity and creativity and is open to all.  

On Friday evening, April 6, the Church will observe Good Friday with a service in the Sanctuary at 7:30 p.m. Next Sunday, the Church will celebrate Easter Sunday with Worship at 11 a.m. Violinist Ed Black will play. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt immediately following the worship service.
