According to U.S News, the annual rankings recognize hospitals that excel in the treatment the most challenging patients.  “A hospital that emerges from our analysis as one of best has much to be proud of,” said Avery Comarow, U.S. News Health Rankings Editor. “These hospitals … should be on your list when you need the best care; they are where other hospitals send the toughest cases.”

Kessler’s Chief Medical Officer Bruce M. Gans, M.D. added that, “To be ranked second among the more than 1100 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and units in the country is important recognition of Kessler’s leadership not only in patient care, but in research, education and advocacy initiatives.”

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is one of only eight federally-designated Model Systems in the nation for the treatment and research of both traumatic brain injury (www.kessler-rehab.com/programs/brain-injury-rehab) and spinal cord injury (www.kessler-rehab.com/programs/spinal-cord-injury-rehab), a distinction it shares with the Kessler Foundation.(www.kesslerfoundation.org).
