It's a Gluten-Free Winter with New Menu Items at Shannon Rose Irish Pub With more than 30 Gluten-Free Options

Woodbridge, NJ – December 11, 2013 – The Shannon Rose Irish Pub is unveiling its winter menu – with more than 30 gluten-free items. Ranging from twists on old Irish favorites to fresh new dishes, the Pub is the fun place to eat and drink this brisk time of year and especially throughout the holiday season. Come for lunch or dinner and stay to enjoy the Irish music, the DJs, and the live bands. Happy Hour is Monday – Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. for the entire restaurant with $2-off drinks, drafts and wine.

 

Tasty new options such as the Happy Gilmore Pastrami (sliced hot pastrami piled high with melted Provolone cheese sitting atop hash browns and cole slaw with Dijon mustard served on a warm pretzel bun) sandwich compliment the return of a seasonal favorite – the Sligo, better known as “Thanksgiving-on-a-plate” (mounds of hot turkey, cranberry sauce, and Thousand Island dressing with melting Swiss cheese on toasted Irish Soda Bread). Shannon Rose regulars and new diners alike can try new delights such as Chicken and Waffle sliders, The Fat Burger, Double-UP Grilled Cheese Burger, Filet Medallions, the Cranberry-dressed Pork Chop, and Roasted Half-Chickens.

After dinner, you can indulge in dessert, often with our fresh whipped cream, and drinks that will satisfy every sweet tooth. Gluten-free delights include Chocolate cake with your choice of ice cream to compliment the chocolate fudge and chocolate sauce and Trifecta ice cream, a combination of vanilla, chocolate and coffee ice cream nestled in crispy wonton shells and drizzled with yummy sauces, topped with whipped cream and Oreo crumbles.  Ask your server about other dessert options such as Walnut Blondie bites, chock full of butterscotch, chocolate chips, walnut pieces, shredded coconut with kettle-fried potato chips are finished with caramel and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, Caramel Ginger Apple Crisp, Chocolate Peanut Butter Landslide cake, and homemade Irish Soda Bread Pudding and brownie and ice cream selections to see what can be prepared as gluten-free.

The drinks are just as tempting. On the “Tasty Delights for the Night” menu, choosing is serious business. New fall and winter themed specialty drinks are a celebration amongst themselves with selections such as Blackberry Cider, Apple Pie on the Rocks, Berry Berry, Hot Cocoa Whip, Irish Flu Shot, Raspberry Cheesecake, Gingerbread Martini, Maple Leaf Martini and Chocolate-Covered Orange Martini.Hot Peppermint Paddy (hot chocolate, Rumplemintz and dark Crème de Coco topped with Chocolate sprinkles and whipped cream) and an extensive Liqueur and Malt menu of Scotch, single malts, Irish Whisky, Ports and Cordials have all the right stuff to keep a cold winter’s night at bay. Irish cream coffee’s made with whiskey or Bailey’s and sweet favorites such as An Irish Kiss (Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahlua, coffee and whipped cream) Coffee Amaretto, Banana Foster, Cookies & Cream all bring sweetness to one’s world.
