About Gregory Elementary School

In early 1914, a referendum passed in the township of West Orange, NJ to build a new school in the south end of town.  The land was bought at Gregory and Walker for $4,000 and $16,000 was required to build and furnish the four-room one-story school, which opened that fall, and is now known as Gregory Elementary School. In 2014, the Gregory School PTA will honor the history, students, staff, and community through various centennial celebrations.
