Fantastic Planet
1973, 71 minutes. Not Rated; rec. for 12 and up
dir: René Laloux
Saturday April 26

Hand drawn stop-action animation is used to tell the story of humans who are pets to 40 foot aliens in this distinctive film. A groovy soundtrack and some weighty themes give this film from 1973 a long-lasting reach.
