Montclair Business Makes Donation to The Children's Institute

Macoliz, a financial services company in Montclair, has generously donated $2,500 to The Children's Institute, schools in Verona and Livingston for ages pre-school to adult on the autism spectrum. Collin Siddons, 14 of Montclair, recently signed a check for the $2,500 donation from his father Deron Siddons’ company, Macoliz, for the Children’s Institute’s Walk for a Lifetime May 4 at Verona Park. Collin, who is an eighth grader at TCI in Verona, has been a student at TCI for the past two years. “I think the school is fantastic,” Deron Siddons said. TCI, which serves individuals ages preschool to age 21 on the autism spectrum at schools in Verona and Livingston, needs donations to help improve programs and facilities at the school as well as the Center for Independence, a program for adults ages 21 and up on the spectrum, located in Livingston, he said. Collin was a public school student for many years and was not getting the education or services that he needed, his father said. “Collin is doing great at The Children’s Institute and this is where he needs to be.” Lace up your sneakers and register for The Children’s institute’s Walk For a Lifetime May 4. Walkers of all ages as well as teams of participants will walk around the scenic Verona Park to benefit children and adults on the autism spectrum.
