Pack a picnic, gather up the kids and savor a summer Sunday afternoon at Van Vleck Gardens with Yosi & the Superdads. Yosi’s “Rockin’ Band” will present a lively and humorous family-friendly concert outdoors at Van Vleck.  

Admission is $10 per person. Concertgoers are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a picnic on the Van Vleck grounds. Gates open at noon. The concert will be held in fair weather only at 21 Van Vleck Street, Montclair.

“For those too young to stay up for ‘American Idol,’ Yosi is the biggest rock star there is,” according to Associated Press. The group bills itself as “faster than a speeding toddler, more powerful than fingerpaint, able to leap tall piles of laundry while paying bills and singing in four-part harmony.” Their concerts feature songs from Yosi’s multi-award-winning CDs, including the latest CD, Super Kids Rock. Parents and kids alike will want to wiggle like a worm in a “Hole in the Ground,” act like a ferocious “Dinosaur in Love,” enjoy a bowlful of “Chicken Noodle Soup,” get on a chugging “Train Medley” and make “Friends Around the World.”
