The best pizza in West Orange is not even on your list. It's Rock-It Pizza, hands down.

Terra Luna's thin crust pepperoni is the go-to in our house -- if you're in the Gregory or Valley areas, you have to give them a try! Really nice people and great quality food @ very reasonable prices.

Pie-Zon has THE best (and most of the time, the only available) wheat crust pizza that is the best around. Fresh ingredients make it worth the price!

I love Pie-Zon if I am going there to eat in their restaurant but every time I have gotten it delivered, my pizza is burnt. And I mean EVERY time, not like once or twice by coincidence.

Best thin crust pizza, unfortunately, is in Bergen County -- Kinchley's in Ramsey. For dine-in gourmet pizza, I'd recommend Emma's in Cranford.

First of all, Star Pizza isn't in West Orange and, secondly, although the pizza is good, it's a terrible place unless you enjoy having a line snake around you while you're trying to eat and having to watch the parking lot on TV so you know your car won't be stolen. And, if you haven't eaten at Kinchley's, then you're not qualified to comment on it.

Star Tavern IS the best pizza in NJ, hands down. The reason there is a line that snakes around you prove that people know where to go to get really great pizza and to enjoy themselves. People from all walks of life travel to Star Tavern from all over New Jersey as well as from other states just to taste the best pizza on the planet (really).

There isn't any more problems at Star Tavern with stolen vehicles or crime then there is at any other pizzeria in or around the area, and that includes any pizzeria here in West Orange.

When at Star Tavern, there really isn't a need to "watch your vehicle" in there parking lot. You can sit back order your meal and enjoy the night out as Star Tavern has multiple cameras as well as hiring the Orange Police Department for patrolling there premises, and might I add the Orange Police Deapertment doe's an outstanding job at protecting Star Taverns patrons!

Billy selling Rock-It Pizza was the worst thing that has happened to West Orange this year, Rock-It has really went down hill and has taken the turn for the worst.

Besides Star, if you want really great pizza, head over to Belleville across from city hall at the corner of Washington and Belleville avenues and try LA Sicilia. I need to say no more, you can thank me later.

I'm not aware of there being a car theft problem at Star Tavern, where there's always security outside on the weekends. As far as the line: takeout at night, eat-in for lunch.

IN West Orange, Terra Luna is great; so is Johnny's on Main Street, left off the list.

Just had a Rockit Special Last Night..NOT EVEN Close..different Sauce, Different Crust, and it's like the Oven wasn't hot enough..I asked for fish on the side and they said..we have anchoive paste..do you want that? Ummm..no....and it was pretty flismy for a $19 pie after tax. We like Frank's but I hat the trip, Price and Cash only...maybe see how far Genercarelli's is...but who want's to go to Bloomfield or Belleville..I could always take home on my way outta Newark from Queens I guess

As far as Starlite: decent thin crust, but it's nowhere near as good as Star Tavern, it's no closer (to Gregory) than Star Tavern, and it features a parking lot of doom, very much unlike Star Tavern, which has a roomy adjacent lot and isn't smack up against that very bad intersection.

All you Star Tavern fans, enjoy! I have no argument with the pizza; just hate the place.

The only thing I can knock Star Tavern for is the price of there pie. If it wasn't the best pizza I would never pay $10.50 for a bar pie that you can basically eat by yourself.

Does anyone have the story on what happened with Billy, or what he's doing now? I'm sure I'll run into hom at a Billy Hector show some night...but..just curious...
