Seniors Knit for Babies
Ruth Waxman, a member of the “Mad Hatters” knitting club at Green Hill delivered hats to premature babies at St. Barnabas NICU on Sat Feb 18. According to the staff at St. Barnabas NICU prenatal, every isolate included a hat for each premature baby, and they were very grateful for the efforts and knitting skills of Green Hill residents. “I was so very proud to see the babies with the hats that we made," said Waxman, Knitting Club donation organizer.

The West Orange High school Chinese Club visited Hazel Avenue School to perform the Dragon Dance in honor of the Chinese New Year. Students paraded around the entire school and playground to wish the community a healthy and prosperous new year.  The Chinese Club also visited with our students in grades K, 1, 2, 3, & 5 and read Chinese folk tales in English. Hazel Alumni Connell Donagher and Xin Huang were some of the students who visited their old alma matter. The children had a wonderful time learning about the Chinese New Year and also learned basic greetings in Chinese.
