West Orange Shelter is Open

Residents in need of shelter can head to WOHS.

A hurricane relief shelter will open today at 11 a.m. in the West Orange High School cafeteria.  WOHS is located at 51 Conforti Ave. and off of Pleasant Valley Way. Only West Orange residents are eligible to use the shelter.

The shelter will provide food and water for those seeking safe conditions. Residents are asked to bring their own blankets, prescriptions, personal hygiene products, etc...

Pets will be accommodated but must be kept leashed and restrained.

Residents of Essex County may also seek shelter at the Codey Arena, located at 560 Northfield Avenue. Accommodations for pets are available there as well.
