West Orange Jitney to Resume with Modified Schedule

Tuesday marks the first time the jitney will be running since Hurricane Sandy.

 

For the first time since Hurricane Sandy hit, the West Orange jitney will be in service. 

Starting today, the jitney will return to a modified schedule as NJ Transit continues to repair the Morris and Essex line, which provides service to the South Orange, Mountain and Orange train stations.

The morning jitney service will be unchanged.  However, it may be modified in the upcoming days to coincide with the modified train schedule.

The evening jitney will be revised based on the NJ Transit schedule. 

Route 1: Valley/Gregory North

Orange

  • Departs 5:35 p.m. (combined with Route 2)
  • Departs 5:55 p.m.

South Orange

  • Departs 6:45 p.m.
  • Departs 7:15 p.m.
  • Departs 7:45 p.m. (via Route 2)
  • Departs 8:15 p.m. (via Route 2)

Route 2: Valley/Gregory South

Orange

  • Departs 5:35 p.m. (via Route 1)

South Orange

  • Departs 6:05 p.m.
  • Departs 6:45 p.m.
  • Departs 7:15 p.m.
  • Departs 7:45 p.m. (combined with Route 1)
  • Departs 8:15 p.m. (combined with Route 1)
