Put another West Orange High School homecoming in the books.
The West Orange High School bleachers were packed this Saturday for the traditional homecoming football game between the West Orange Mountaineers and Seton Hall Prep Pirates.
Playing at home was not an advantage for the Mountaineers, who were bested by the Pirates 38-14. With the loss, West Orange falls to 2-3, while Seton Hall remains unbeaten at 5-0.
At halftime, there was the coronation of the homecoming king and queen. Harry Kaplan was crowned as homecoming king, and Ginny Jean was named his queen.

It is so nice to see the pictures of WOHS Homecoming for 2012. However, there seems to be a few pictures missing. It was established last year that 2 Special Education Students would be Honorary Homecoming King & Queen and once again they have been OVERLOOKED. Please stop pushing out Spec Ed students to the side and give them their 15 minutes also.

@ Ann Aly Ahmed,
Looks like we missed that. If you have -- or anyone you know has-- additional photos from the homecoming coronation, please upload them for all to see!

Whoah....What is it your are speaking about? That the Patch (An institution independent of WOHS) didn't publish any pictures, OR, That WOBOE didn't have an honorary King and Queen? If it's the latter, then you should make yourself clear, and have contacted the powers that be in WOHS. And what was established 2 years ago? Do you have the memo that states what rules are to be followed? I do know that the students vote (those who are motivated to do so..most don't vote) to select the kids to be crowned. So how does this process you speak of work?
Anyway, besides this hiccup, it was a very nice day....too bad the Seton Hall's "Recruits" had the upper hand again. And that's a WHOLE other topic....wonder what classes those kids take to maintain a GPA to be able to play....it's never a fair contest...

Think I wasn't around for that one...still think offering scholarships bends the scales...that was a good WOHS team that year....
