Love Chris Christie! He's a true patriot that knew how to appropriately blockade and dismantle the 'anything we riot about, we get' thugery that was left in the wake of Corslime! As a result our state is a much more difficult breeding ground for liberal politics gone astray. I hope he makes it to the national spotlight. He has great plans and the leadership to execute them.

Pretty sad to see all of you talking about the looks of the Gov and what his parents named him and not about the message he delivered. People who need to put others down most of the time are unhappy with themselves.

I'm sure he's glad to have government paid for health care for his heart disease and diabetes treatments

Chris Christie's speech last night was excellent. When the speech was over, the only thought I had was that the wrong Republican has the nomination right now. Christie should be running for President. He is obviously setting himself up for 2016 or 2020. Unless Romney can deliver a good speech Thursday, I'm not sure he's going to win, which will certainly open the door for Christie in '16. Mind you, I wasn't a big Christie fan, until last night.,,

When Governor Christie reached the point where he was talking about his family background, I realized that he was campaigning for himself, not Mr. Romney. At least he kept his Jersey-shore persona under wraps so that we didn't have to put up with more kidding from out-of-staters.

He was smart enough not to tout the Jersey comeback that he was trying to sell us, knowing that it would be ripped apart by the national press.

I have been trying to convince myself that NJ should be honored that our governor was chosen for the keynote speech, but failed. I can't see any way that NJ will benefit from his appearance.

According to Politifact he spoke in 1/2 truths ,thats twice as good as Romney

FYI...In his speech last night, Christie said the words "I" 47 times, "me" 11 times, "my" 7 times and "Romney" 8 times. Hmmm...cue up the only song he knows..."Born to Run."
Love him or hate him, he is doing everthing possible to ensure Romney loses, certain that sets him up to be the nominee in 2016. The trouble is...(I say this with no insult intended)...America has not elected a fat president since the dawn of television. And he's not just fat, he's downright mean. Some in Jersey love that attitude...but it doesn't sell between the Delaware River and the Rocky Mountains.

Unrealistic to so blithely ignore the tax-benefit needs (it takes $RESOURCES to ennact efficient social change for ALL NJ's population) of only the 1% in Morris or Bergen Counties. Smoke-screened "corruption clean-up" (hmmmmm ...) or not. - What about a lil' public service called: Public Education? Hmmmm, Mr. C., so far.

"In bed" w/ the frightened, hoarding 1%? The "rich?" I'm afraid I'd call THAT: corruption. (Do they ACTUALLY create jobs? TRULY invest in U.S. job/green entrepreneurial development? Or sock it away in the Caymans? Hmmmmm ....)
PS: My wonderful father, Frederick S. Hammer, was No. 2 of all Chase Bank - Head of Amer. Colnsumer Ops. - in the 1980s. I come from those smart, hard-working types. But they never were allowed to squirrel-away as much of what they earned (or just garnered from U.S. supercorp., apparently-somewhat-expoitative investments), as they do now.
