Gov. Chris Christie is bringing his Town Hall meeting to Caldwell Monday afternoon.

The outspoken governor, who has national aspirations, will speak to residents at the Caldwell Community Center on Feb. 13.

The forum is open to the public, though his office has requested those interested in coming make an online reservation. An announcement that was released from the governor's office Thursday afternoon said to ensure adequate seating for those planning to attend to RSVP here.

Previous Town Hall meetings, which have been held all over New Jersey, have ranged from mild dialogues to heated exchanges with local residents. The governor generally speaks and then invites residents to ask questions.

Monday's meeting will be at the Caldwell Community Center at 1 Provost Square and is scheduled to start at 3 p.m., though visitors are encouraged to arrive early. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.

The governor's office issued this statement: "Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and open to the public. Please RSVP to allow us to do our best to accommodate demand for seating (note that space is limited, and many town hall events reach capacity quickly, so we encourage you to arrive early to ensure your seating)."
