The Green Hill House Gala attracted about 200 people to Highlawn Pavilion Thursday night. Supporters, family and friends gathered to celebrate and to raise money for the retirement home's Green House Homes project.
Green House Homes is an innovative housing concept that's part of Green Hill Retirement Community on Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange. Each home will house 10 people and have round-the-clock nursing supervision. Unlike other nursing homes, they are non-institutional in design and will be contructed in an ecologically sound fashion, which includes ideas, such as a rain garden, to conserve water.

It was a pleasure to be at this celebratory event, capture the spirit with my lens, and learn about the Green House Homes concept...It is an innovative way to care for seniors and an innovative way of life to look forward to this Spring in West Orange. A first!
