Ron Teichman and his family thanks the Ohr Torah community and, in fact, the entire West Orange Jewish community for the wishes, prayers and support they received upon the passing of Ron's mom. Those who came to the house to make a Minyan and those that worked the phones to ensure that there was a Minyan each day are especially appreciated. It is one of the special features of the West Orange Jewish community that when needed the members of Ohr Torah, The Lubavitch Shul and AABJ&D come together to help each other.
A special thanks to Rabbi Spivak for being there and for handling a difficult situation with tact and grace, even on a day that he was supposed to be at his 'other job.'
Mazel Tov to Susan and David Lando on the birth of a grandson.
The parents are J.J. Lando and his wife Laurie Siegel Lando of NYC.
Mazel Tov also to aunts and uncles Debra and Dov Lando, Betty and Zvi Lando and Tali and Alex Aronoff and their families.
The Shul would like to wish a yashar koach to the ba'alei kria for Megillat Esther:
Rabbi Robert Grosberg, Charlie Hafner and Moshe Weinstein
There will be a teen minyan this Shabbat, starting at 9:15 a.m.
Rabbi Spivak’s Torah Classes
On Wednesday night at 7 p.m., Rabbi Spivak offers a class for teenage girls (at rotating houses). At 8 p.m. that same night, Rabbi Spivak’s class on Chumash Methodology and Commentators takes place at the shul.
Mishnah Berurah Class
Rabbi Grosberg’s Mishnah Berurah class for teenagers will not meet this Shabbat, but will resume next week.
Special Seudat Shabbat
The entire congregation is invited by Rabbi Robert Grosberg to a Shabbat luncheon after davening, commemorating Cindy Grosberg's first yahrzeit observance, which will take place on the following Friday. The Seudat Shabbt will be preceded by a siyum of Massechet Berachot, in Cindy's memory.
Shiur in Memory of Cindy Grosberg
Rabbi Robert Grosberg will deliver a pre-Pesach shiur on Shabbat afternoon, at 5:15 p.m., before Mincha, in the shul, in memory of his wife, Cindy Grosberg, Fraidel Tzivyah bas Y'hoshua Moshe, A"H. This represents the third yom tov shiur that was dedicated to her memory during the first year since her passing.
