Two women were charged with disorderly conduct after they allegedly started a fight in the T.G.I. Friday's restaurant in Essex Green Plaza.

Officials on scene said the two women were on the ground grabbing and pulling each others' hair last Saturday night around 10 p.m.

According to the police report, a sheriff's officer that responded to the scene could not separate the women from each other. The officer used pepper spray that caused the women to comply and stop fighting, the report said.

However, as the women were being escorted outside, they began fighting again in the entrance of the restaurant, police said.

Both women were taken into custody and charged pending a Dec. 1 court date.
