Police Arrest Multiple People for Criminal Trespassing

Man Arrested For Trespassing Home
A man was arrested for allegedly trespassing a home on Forest Hill Road in West Orange, police said. The individual was caught in the city of Orange carrying a hammer and box cutter knife.
The owner of a home on Forest Hill Road called police Friday afternoon after she saw a black man wearing a dark blue hooded jacket, black pants and a green colored backpack leaving her home through the backyard. Police said they found a broken window in the rear door of the home and two unlocked doors but said entry to the residence was not gained.
The home owner told police she had seen the same man in the area on Nov. 24 and Nov. 17.
Police apprehended a black man matching the description at the intersection of South Essex Avenue and Henry Street in Orange. The suspect admitted he was in the backyard of a home on Forest Hill Road. He was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass and possession of burglar tools pending a Dec. 1 court date.
Multiple Individuals Taken into Custody for Trespassing Garage
On Nov. 22, police arrested multiple individuals after they were allegedly found inside a garage on Orange Place in West Orange.
According to the incident report, a neighboring woman called the police after she saw two men in dark clothes enter the open garage and use cell phones to light their way. A "no trespassing" sign is hung outside the garage door.
Three men and one teenage girl were taken into custody, police said. The three men were charged with criminal trespass and released pending a Dec. 1 court date. The juvenile was released to her father.
