Pizza and Concerts
This week in the West Orange Schools support the students and the PTA.
If you are looking for an afternoon snack this afternoon head down to the Conforti Lobby of West Orange High School, located at 51 Conforti Ave.
Today, the Spanish Honors Society is running a pizza sale from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m.
A slice of pizza only costs $2.
After supporting the high school students, head down to Roosevelt Middle School at 7:30 p.m. to watch the middle school orchestra play its spring concert.
The two-hour concert will be held in the auditorium.
If that's not enough, the high school juniors take over for the afternoon to run a class pizza sale too, at the same time in the same place at the same $2 price a slice.
If you've spent the last few days eating pizza and wanted to go workout, on Thursday the Hazel Elementary School is offering an adult zumba class.
The class takes place in the elementary school’s gym from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Call Carolyn Ruderman at (973) 299-4404 for more information.
If you're in the mood for more music, on Thursday the high school also has a spring choral concert so head down and support the students.
The show will be comprised of four choirs performing classical music. Two of groups will consist of more than 100 singers. The other two groups total around 40.
The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. at the high school and should be completed by 10 p.m.
On Saturday, the PTA is hosting a clothing drive from 2 to 8:30 p.m. for residents to get rid of any old clothing that has been taking up space.
The event will be held at Redwood Elementary School at 75 Redwood Ave.
