Murder Suspect Identified
Nolvin Garcia, of Orange, is wanted for the murder of a bouncer at Misty's Restaurant and Bar in West Orange on Monday, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
Authorities have identified the man responsible for the murder of a bouncer at Misty’s Restaurant and Bar on Monday.
Nolvin Garcia, 24, of Orange, is wanted by The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office for the shooting and killing of Jacques Nelson, 32, of Orange.
Nelson, a father of four, was employed at the bar, located at 277 Main St., as a bouncer. He was fatally shot around 2 a.m. on Monday when he attempted to break up a fight in the municipal parking lot behind the bar.
Garcia is still at-large and is considered armed and dangerous, according to the ECPO. He was charged with murder and weapons offenses. His bail was set at $750,000.
The ECPO is not releasing any more information about Garcia at this time, according to the prosecutor's office spokeswoman Katherine Carter.
A reward up to $5,000 is being offered by the Essex County Sheriff’s Crimestoppers program to anyone who can provide information leading to an arrest and conviction in the shooting.
