March's Wintry Mix Causes Multiple Accidents

West Orange police reported eight accidents late afternoon Monday.

 

Monday's wintry mix caused multiple accidents throughout West Orange as drivers slid on slick roads during the late afternoon, officials said. 

West Orange police reported eight accidents throughout town, with most occurring on Northfield Avenue. 

The first accident was reported at 5:15 p.m. and the trend steadily continued until 8 p.m., West Orange police said. 

According to police, there were three accidents on Northfield Avenue. Accidents were also reported on Prospect Avenue, Eagle Rock Avenue, Walker Avenue, Harrison Avenue and inside the Essex Green Shopping Center, police said.

All injuries were minor and non-life threatening, police said, and none of the injured were taken to the hospital, police said.
