Local Justice: Decisions in Municipal Court

The West Orange Municipal Court handled these five criminal matters.

In State v. Kyon Stevens, of Plainfield, the State charged defendant with hindering apprehension on April 20.  Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.  The Court imposed $158 in fines and costs.

In State v. John Esposito, of Cedar Grove, the State charged defendant with possession of drug paraphernalia on January 2.  Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.  The Court imposed $758 in fines and costs.

In State v. Michael Blanco, of West Orange, the State charged defendant with possession of drug paraphernalia on April 3.  The charge resulted in a conditional discharge.  The Court imposed one year supervised probation and $806 in fines and costs.

In State v. Irving Erazo, of West Orange, the State charged defendant with shoplifting from the Rite Aid on April 8.  Defendant pleaded guilty to an amended charge of loitering in violation of the township ordinance.  The Court imposed $958 in fines, costs and restitution.

In State v. Richard Gonzalez, of West Orange, the State charged defendant with loitering - drug related on February 15.  Defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.  The Court imposed $658 in fines and costs.
