Library Book Group Meets Monday, July 2
Bibliophiles will meet July 2 at 1:30 p.m. at the West Orange Public Library.
The West Orange Public Library’s book discussion group will discuss "Persuasion" by Jane Austen on Monday, July 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the library.
"Persuasion" describes the influence of money, class, and age in 19th-century English society. The protagonist, Anne Elliot, is a single woman in her late 20s whose family situation has recently changed when a rejected former suitor returns from the war. Published posthumously with Northanger Abbey, "Persuasion" is one of six beloved novels by Jane Austen.
