Former PTA President in Court Friday

Deborah Sanchez to appear before Superior Court judge in Newark Friday on second-degree theft and third-degree forgery charges.

The former Mount Pleasant Elementary School PTA president accused of stealing more than $100,000 is scheduled to appear in Superior Court Friday in Newark.

Deborah Sanchez faces charges of second-degree theft and third-degree forgery for allegedly taking more than $101,000 worth of PTA funds between January 2008 and November 2010. She was indicted on July 11.

The allegations came to light when an audit was conducted by the school’s PTA in 2011.

Sanchez is scheduled to appear before Judge Verna Leath, according to Essex County Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Katherine Carter.

Sanchez is reportedly being represented by Vincent Nuzzi, who did not return phone calls for comment.

Wow, what a rocket scientist. No one will ever miss a hundred grand, right? If she did it I sincerely hope she spends some time in the house with many windows.

If she is guilty, she would represent one reason why our kids and our taxpayers suffer..
We need to TEACH ETHICS in school. Parents need to teach ETHICS to their
kids.
These problems will aways exits if we don't STRESS ETHICS and HONESTY...Take nothing for granted in this day and age. There was a lot more honestly learned from parents in past generations.

Too much of the crime.
It all starts with the kids!!!!!
DON'T ALLOW WEST ORANGE and our STATE to turn into a CESSPOOL!
