1. Did you attend last night's Valley Community Watch meeting or the "Meet the
Candidates" event at the high school for Board of Education candidates? Share your thoughts in the comments.

2. Two renowned musicians return to Whole Foods Market tonight for another free night of jazz music. West Orange-based master guitarist Bob DeVos and NYC-based Don Friedman on the Whole Foods baby grand Baldwin piano will perform in the front-window performance space. Feel free to buy dinner, a snack, dessert or a coffee drink to enjoy with the music. 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

3. The Gregory School PTA invites parents and small business owners to attend a small business networking and technology tools event. Learn how to promote your business and support other West Orange businessowners. Cost: $15 per person.

4. Come on down to The Deli Guy for the return of the monthly free Open Mic Night. Calling all singers, poets, comedians, instrumentalists, etc.  A live accompanist and a CD player are there if you need them. 490 Mount Pleasant Avenue. 7:30 p.m.
  
5. As a reminder, tomorrow is the School Election to vote on the budget for school year 2011-2012 and for the one open spot on the Board of Education. Polls are open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Residents seeking their election polling places can call the West Orange township clerk's office at (973) 325-4155.
