I will certainly try to attend this talk. It is also important for the public to know what to
do about their homes and businessess after the storm. This is a time for us to envision a positive and imaginative recovery opportunity. Our local government and it's citizens can make long-term decisions that will affect and may even significantly alter the built environment in a positive way Consideration of comprehensive neighborhood redesign, downtown business renovation, landscape redesign and preservation are but a small list. As an architect and planner the silver lining of a disaster is the opportunity to remedy underperforming aspects of our community.

The Green Series Lecture Series brings to West Orange innovative ideas on a sustainable future. This lecture is so appropriate as its contents deals with our changing environment and how we can adapt to it. Keeping with the old ways will not suffice for a difficult future. Hurricane Sandy has taught us that global weirding is here to stay and will only intensify.
We have great resources to learn from. As Chairman of the W.O. Energy Commission, I invite all our fellow citizens to attend this lecture to be exposed and learn how to adapt our properties to the new reality that faces us all.
See you at this lecture.
