Council To Discuss Sewer Assessment Hike Tuesday: This Week Ahead
Here's what is on the agenda for West Orange this week.
Monday, the Human Relations Commission will meet at 7 p.m. in town hall, 66 Main Street.
On Tuesday, the West Orange Township Council will convene at 7 p.m. in West Orange Town Hall, 66 Main Street.
Proposals to raise the sewer assessment $65, or 35 percent, to cover increasing costs and to settle the town’s part in a huge pollution remediation lawsuit headline the agenda, councilman Joe Krakoviak said. Full agenda to come.
In the March 5 meeting, the township council has agreed to take additional actions to stem growing frustration at the lack progress made by developer Prism Capital Partners LLC on the Edison project.
Also on Tuesday, the West Orange Energy Commission is scheduled to meet at Town Hall, 66 Main Street, in Room 109 at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, the Planning Board is set to meet at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall, 66 Main Street in Council Chambers. Agenda is attached.

The law the set us up for this problem over regulation by the state that is causing law suites while not truly doing much for cleaning water comes out of the state Assembly committee that is chaired by John McKeon. Remember your needless and pointless increase in the sewage fee increase when you vote for assembly in the 27th in November

He and Ms Jasey are unopposed in the Democratic Party however, the 27th legislative district has West Orange, Livingston, Essex Fells, Roseland, Milburn, Caldwell, South Orange, Maplewood, Chatham, Madison, Harding, East Hanover, and Hanover so it is not lock for one party or the other.
