A group of Chinese exchange students and teachers got their first local tour of West Orange and surrounding towns this weekend.

Host families spent the weekend exploring the Edison labs in West Orange, the bright city lights of New York City and other destinations in the area.

The 11 students and two teachers will stay in West Orange for the week as part of an exchange program. The itinerary for this week includes a day trip to Princeton University and Washington, D.C.

Monday is the first day the students will spend shadowing high schoolers.
