Businesses on Pleasant Valley Way Burglarized

Several businesses along Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange were allegedly burglarized, police said.

Early Saturday morning around 4 a.m., police responded to an activated alarm at Fortissimo Pizzeria.

When they arrived, they found the front glass door had been smashed along with a second door inside the foyer. The owner checked the video surveillance that revealed an unknown individual gaining entry to the property but leaving after the alarm went off. He told police nothing was missing.

As they searched the area, police found the front glass door of Chopstix had also been broken. They found an empty bank bag inside the store but could not confirm whether anything had been taken.

China Garden along Pleasant Valley Way also had a front broken window. According to the incident report, money was taken from the cash register.

The front glass doors of Bijou Nail and Skin Salon were also shattered, according to police. They said papers and envelopes were strewn on the floor and the front desk had a few open drawers. When the owner arrived hours later, he told police nothing appeared to be missing.
