This year's municipal elections are bound to get heated as seven candidates compete for three open seats on the township council.

Incumbent council members Sal Anderton, Joe Krakoviak and Patricia Spango will be running for re-election to four-year terms.

Council candidates Jake Freivald, Jerry Guarino, Rodolfo Rodriguez and Clare Silvestri have also thrown their names in the ring.

Ballot positions for the election were drawn Thursday afternoon at township hall. They are as follows as released by the office of the township clerk.

Councilman Krakoviak will be heading a slate of candidates with Frievald, his former campaign manager, and Silvestri, his wife. The trio are calling themselves "Team Krakoviak."
