We should keep in mind that although AAA is showing us it's "nice side" by offering these free inspections, but we should remember they have a very powerful lobby in Washington. AAA presented a study showing cell phone use while driving is not a major factor in auto accidents. A quick Google search shows that AAA lobbied against airbags, do not support bike lanes, are pro-asphalt road construction, and are not for gas taxes. (Which help curb the use of fuel and automobile use.) They are definitely not a "green organization", nor have the public's best interests in mind when it comes to dollar and cents... :[
