23 grants around state award by Horizon Foundation.

The Luna Stage Company in West Orange recently received a $10,000 grant from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey.

The grant will be used to help build the group's organizational infrastructure and for its Education and Outreach  Program.

All told, 23 grants totaling $396,000 were awarded to organizations throughout the state to promote health and the arts throughout New Jersey.

The program includes in-school residencies, after school and Saturday student programs as well as student matinees of Luna’s main stage program and development of the Teen Company that will offer a young playwrights’ program and an apprenticeship program.

“We are proud to support these 23 organizations and the noble goals they are working very hard to achieve,” said Chairman of the Board of Directors of the foundation Robert A. Marino.

“We recognize how these organizations are making a positive difference in the health and quality of life of individuals throughout New Jersey,” he added.
