Read N’ Chat
Are you a sixth through eighth grader who wants to discuss great books with your peers? Join the West Orange Public Library’s Read N’ Chat Book Club! December 2012’s meeting will be held from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12. The book for this month is The Roar by Emma Clayton. Copies are available at the library’s circulation desk. Teen Game Night
Teen Game Night at the West Orange Public Library features Nintendo Wii and board games (chess, Scrabble, Boggle, and more), and is the perfect place to get together with teens and socialize while having fun. Bring your Nintendo DS or PSP! Open to 6th through 12th graders. Anime Club
Are you a fan of anime? Read manga? Draw your own characters or do origami? Have no plans this winter break? Then come to the next meeting of West Orange Public Library’s Anime Club! The club meets from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. every fourth Wednesday of the month and is open to anyone between the grades of 6 and 12. Next meeting: Wednesday, December 26. No registration required. Teen Social
Not sure what to do with all that free time this winter break? Why not come to the library to socialize with other teens? We’ll be hosting a teen social on Wednesday, December 26 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m, with a visit from a dietician from ShopRite, who will be whipping up a snack for participants. Free SAT/ACT Test
No plans this winter break? Need practice for the SAT or ACT? Then sign-up for a free SAT/ACT practice test! Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions will administer the test from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 27 and participants will receive a score report and analysis within two weeks of completion. Students between 10th and 12th grade can sign up at www.wopl.org or by calling 973-736-0198.
